ALCOHOL USE DISORDER (AUD ) is a long-term state of mind in which patients cannot stop or control their alcohol drinking addiction even at the cost of their social lives, their jobs, or their health getting affected.   When repeated drinking results in serious consequences, the patient becomes a victim of  ALCOHOL USE DISORDER.  It also includes Alcohol Dependency, which causes the patient to lose control over drinking. In spite of realising that Alcohol Addiction can be the cause the problems, it becomes difficult to get rid of the problem. Even to enjoy being in the drunk state of mind or to run away from those problems, patients prefer to drink alcohol again or experience withdrawal symptoms when trying to quit alcohol.   Use of Unhealthy Alcohol includes the use of alcohol which endangers patient’s health or safety or causes other alcohol related problems. ALZHEIMER'S  ailment is a progressive disorder that causes brain cells to deteriorate, slowly making it inactive.  ALZHEIMER'S  ailment is the most common cause of DEMENSIA . This causes a steady decline in human thinking, behaviour and social skills. At the same time it impedes the patient's ability to function independently. In 1906, Dr.  Alois Alzheimer noticed changes in the brain tissue of a woman who had died of an unusual mental illness. Since then, the ailment is named after the doctor's name. Symptoms: Initial symptoms of ALZHEIMER'S  ailment can be forgetting events or interactions. As the ailment progresses, patients begin to suffer memory loss and lose the ability to perform everyday tasks.They may have difficulty in organising their thoughts. BLOG POST 16: The POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION

The birth of a child can give rise to different emotions, ranging from excitement and joy to fear and anxiety. The results can sometimes be completely beyond expectation. It can be a bit hard to believe, but women may become a victim of DEPRESSION post delivery due to mood swings and hormonal changes during pregnancy. The Psychological term for this condition is called  POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION . Today's blog is an attempt to present information and spread awareness about this mental condition.   Mostly after delivery the new mothers experience  "BABY BLUES POSTPARTUM", which usually includes mood swings, crying without reason, anxiety and difficulty in sleeping.  BABY BLUES  typically begin within the first two to three days after delivery, and may last up to two weeks.But in some new mothers, the same  BABY BLUES  can also take a more severe, long-lasting form. KLEPTOMANIA is an uncommon mental disorder wherein the patient unknowingly develops a habit of stealing or lifting things. People having issues with controlling their impulse are often found to be a victim of this mental illness. Such patients find it difficult to have control on their emotions and behaviours. Therefore, this ailment is classified under Impulse Control Disorder or is considered a symptom of impulsive behaviour. This ailment makes it difficult for the patient to control the temptation or desire to perform any act that can prove fatal for others and even themselves.
